Photo Safari on a foggy day

Hello, I started this post last night but blogger kept spitting my photos back at me and going on about 'internal errors'. Grrr.

Melissa a few comments back said she enjoyed my 'photo safaris' so here's my most recent.

This first photo is not part of the safari, it's of a robin on my swing, but animals are always part of the best safaris. You might need to click to enlarge to see him. I only noticed him because the cat was making that unearthly cackling sound they make when they see birds.

And so the safari begins...I managed to get my camera working, it's a digital and runs out of batteries about 10 minutes after putting them in. Honestly, the amount I have spent on batteries I could have bought some superb professional camera...not to mention the environmental damage created by my discarded battery mountain! I digress...I decided to take the long way round to pick the girls up from school and take some photos. It was snowy and foggy, my favourite sort of day. Fog is so...ethereal...if that's the right word. So romantic, makes me feel like I'm actually in Wuthering Heights or a Sherlock Holmes drama. Fog is very Victorian.

I've had to put the pictures into two posts because there were so many.

above: can you see that tree that looks like it has legs? As I got closer I took some more photos (see later) it looks like an Ent.

See next post for the rest of the 'safari'.
